Before You Begin:
- The agent must already have a GrowthZone contact record. If the agent does NOT have a contact record, follow the steps to Add a Primary Agent or Add a Secondary Agent to create and populate the GrowthZone record first.
- Have the agent’s MLS Office ID, MLS status, and (for new agents) login name and initial password ready.
- If you want to auto-generate the MLS ID, the MLS ID generator must have been enabled during initial setup.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Activating an agent is a two-step process. First, you will assign an MLS ID to the agent, then you will add the MLS Information.
- For the desired agent, click the Real Estate tab.
-
Click the
icon in the MLS - Standard section.
-
On the Add MLS ID screen, enter a custom MLS ID or choose NRDS ID. If during initial setup you have enabled the MLS ID generator, click the Get MLS ID button. ATTENTION: Once you select “Done”, the MLS ID cannot be changed. Please ensure you have typed it in correctly before completing.
- Click Done.
-
Click the
icon in the MLS Information section.
- Enable Sync with MLS, then complete the agent’s details:
- Select the agent’s MLS Office ID.
- Select the agent’s MLS status.
- Select the agent’s member type (optional).
- Select the agent’s security class (optional).
- Select the agent’s Preferred Phone number. If needed, add a new phone number by clicking the grey “+” button.
-
Enter the agent’s login name and initial password (for NEW AGENTS only).
- Click Done.
The agent record will now be sent to your MLS with no further interaction on your part. The frequency at which updates are provided depends on the MLS you are using.
Common Pitfalls
- Saving an incorrect MLS ID: Once you click Done on the Add MLS ID screen, the MLS ID can no longer be changed. Double-check the value before finalizing.
- Skipping the contact record: An agent cannot be activated without an existing GrowthZone contact record. Add the Primary or Secondary Agent record first.
