The Goal: Understand and use GrowthZone's recalculated pricing tools to review proposed membership dues increases and override pricing for individual members as needed before running billing.
Before You Begin:
- IMPORTANT: For membership dues price changes to take effect for existing or renewing members, only membership types that have been set up to Recalculate Price OR have Effective Date Pricing selected will pass on price changes.
- IMPORTANT: If you make price changes and plan to run billing on the same day, you must review Renewal Billing to refresh the system so those price changes take effect.
Recalculated Pricing
If you have Recalculated Pricing turned on, you will see the spinning arrow icon next to your old prices. New prices will not populate on this screen, but they will populate when you review Renewal Billing.
Effective Date Pricing
If you use Effective Date Pricing, you will see a refresh double-arrow icon on the pricing to indicate that pricing will change on the membership's set date.
Common Pitfalls
- Price changes not reflected in billing: If you update prices and run billing on the same day without first reviewing renewal billing, the old prices may be used. Always run Review Renewal Billing first to refresh the system.
- Membership type not configured for recalculation: Only types with Recalculate Price or Effective Date Pricing enabled will pass price changes on to renewing members. Check your membership type settings before making pricing updates.
