Email Designer Common Tasks

The Goal: Perform the most common block actions in the Email Designer—copying, moving, and deleting a block—so you can build and rearrange your email layouts quickly.

Before You Begin:

  • You have access to the Email Designer (Marketing & Communication, Communication section, click Email Designer).
  • You have an Email Designer template or newsletter open in edit mode with at least one block to work with.

Here are some of the actions you may commonly take with Email Designer blocks:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Copy a Block

  1. Click the block you wish to copy.
  2. Click the icon. A copy of the block will be placed directly below the original block.

Move a Block

  1. Click the block you wish to move.
  2. Click the icon.
  3. Drag the block to the desired location.

Delete a Block

  1. Click the block you wish to delete.
  2. Click the icon.
  3. Confirm that you wish to delete the block.

Common Pitfalls

  • Selecting the wrong block: Each action targets the block you currently have selected. Click directly on the block you want before using the copy, move, or delete icon—otherwise you may duplicate or remove the wrong content.
