The Goal: Run the New Membership Report to view new members by type, status, membership category, chapter, start date, or goods/services item — useful for annual statistics on new memberships.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff access to reports.
- Decide the date range you want to report on before you start — the report opens with the current month selected.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Reports, click All Reports.
- Click New Membership Report.
- Select your search filtering criteria. For example, if you want to see year to date statistics, select This Year from the Membership Start Date list.
- Optional — add a filter under Additional Criteria / Filters. For example, if you would like to view new membership sales by a specific sales person, click the plus button and choose Sales Rep.
- Review Display Options. The system is set up with default fields to display in your report. You may add or remove fields by clicking on the Fields to Display drop-down arrow.
- Select Summarize By criteria. This optional field allows you to select how you wish report results grouped. For example, you may choose to group results by membership type.
- Click Run report.
Common Report Functions
- Export Reports
- Email Reports
- Add Report Contacts to a List/Committee
- Mailing Labels
- Save a Report as a New Report
- Add a report as a Favorite Report

Common Pitfalls
- Leaving the default date range in place: Membership Start Date opens on the current month, so a report run straight away often returns No Results Available based on selected criteria. Widen the range before you run it.
- Looking for Sales Rep among the main criteria: this report has no Sales Rep field at the top of the page. Add it from Additional Criteria / Filters.
