The Goal: View the remaining inventory for standard store products, including items that have sub-items such as size or color.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff access to the Store area of your database.
- Inventory tracking only applies to “standard products.” When you first add a product to the store, you enter the starting inventory; as items are purchased, that starting inventory is decreased automatically.
- Know whether the product you want to check includes sub-items (such as size or color), since inventory is viewed differently for those items.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Revenue, Store section, click Products.
- For store items that do not include sub-items, view the inventory remaining for the product directly in the Products list.
- For store items that do include sub-items (for example, size or color), click the hyperlink for the store item in the Products list to view the remaining inventory for each sub-item.
Common Pitfalls
- Looking for inventory on the wrong product: Inventory only displays for standard products. If a product has sub-items, the remaining inventory lives behind the item’s hyperlink, not on the main Products list — open the item to see the per-sub-item counts.
