The Goal: Run the Dropped Membership Report to see which memberships have dropped, along with the dropped details — so you can identify why members drop and view the annualized revenue loss from those drops.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff access to reports.
- The report can be filtered by dropped date range, by specific membership type(s), chapter and sales rep.
- Decide the date range you want to report on before you start — the report opens with the current month selected.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Reports, click All Reports.
- Click Dropped Membership Report.
- Select your search filtering criteria in Date Range, Membership Type, Membership Category, Sales Rep and Chapter.
- Optional — add a filter under Additional Criteria / Filters. For example, if you have a drop reason called Too Expensive, you could filter on that specific Drop Reason to analyze the number of members who have dropped due to cost.
- Review Display Options. The system is set up with default fields to display in your report. You may add or remove fields by clicking on the Fields to Display drop-down arrow.
- Select Summarize By criteria. This optional field allows you to select how you wish report results grouped. For example, you may choose to group results by drop reason.
- Click the Run report button.

Common Pitfalls
- Leaving the default date range in place: Date Range opens on the current month, so a report run straight away often returns very few rows or none at all. Widen the range before you run it.
- Looking for Drop Reason among the main criteria: this report has no Drop Reason field at the top of the page, only a Drop Reason column in the results. Add it as a filter from Additional Criteria / Filters.
