The Goal: Temporarily turn off a member’s access to the Info Hub without deleting their account, so their username and password are reserved, and access can be easily re-enabled later.
Before You Begin:
- The Disable option is only available if the user has already created their login credentials. If they have not, the Disable button will not be displayed.
- Disabling access (rather than deleting it) preserves the member’s username and password so you can re-enable access in the future. Use this when you want to temporarily suspend a member’s access.
Step-by-Step Instructions
On the individual contact’s Profile tab, click the ellipsis icon
in the upper right and select User Login.
This opens the Edit User Access window.
Click the Disable button. This completes the action and the window closes. If you open the Edit User Access window again, you will see that the account has been disabled.
Common Pitfalls
- Deleting instead of disabling: Deleting access removes the reserved username and password. If you only need to suspend access temporarily, use Disable so the credentials are preserved and you can re-enable later.
