The Goal: View and update the inventory levels for the standard products you sell in your Store.
Before You Begin:
- Inventory tracking applies to standard products. When you initially add a product to the Store, you enter the starting inventory; as items are purchased, the starting inventory is decreased.
- You need staff access to the Store to view and update inventory.
Step-by-Step Instructions
View Store Inventory
For store items that do not include sub items, you can view inventory remaining for those products, within the Store module, on the Products page. For store items that include sub items (i.e. size, color, etc.), you can view remaining inventory by clicking the hyper-link for the store item from the Products page.
Update Store Inventory
To update your Store inventory:
Go to Revenue, Store section, click Products.
Click the hyper-link for the item you wish to update.
- Enter the new Inv. remaining.
- Click Done.
Common Pitfalls
- Looking for inventory on a product with sub items: Products with sub items (size, color, etc.) track inventory at the sub-item level. Click the product's hyper-link from the Products page to view and update the remaining inventory for each variation.
- Forgetting to click Done: Inventory changes are not saved until you click Done after entering the new Inv. remaining value.
