The Goal: Approve a pending certification enrollment so the contact's status changes from Applied to In Progress.
Before You Begin:
- The certification/program must be configured to Require Approval. Contacts who apply will display with a status of Applied until approved.
- Staff members who have subscribed to the New Certification Application notification will receive an email when a new application is submitted. The email contains a direct link to the Tracking page.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Option A — Via the Tracking page
- Go to Events & Learning, Continuing Education section, click Tracking (or click the link in the notification email).
- In the Show Only drop-down list, select Applied.
- For the desired individual, click the linked name in the Certification Name column.
- Select In Progress from the Certification Status drop-down list.
- Click Done.
Option B — Via the Overview tab (Action Required section)
- Go to Events & Learning, Continuing Education section. The Overview tab will display by default.
- In the Action Required section, review the list of contacts requiring enrollment approval. Contacts with a Requires Approval of Enrollment to Proceed description are pending.
- Click the checkmark to the right of the contact you wish to enroll.
- A confirmation popup will appear. Click OK to enroll the contact. The contact will be enrolled in the certification and will receive credits for any completed components.
Common Pitfalls
- No Applied contacts visible: Confirm the certification is set to Require Approval. If approval is not required, contacts are automatically set to In Progress upon enrollment.
- Email link not working: You can always access enrollments manually via the Tracking page in the Continuing Education section.
