Add a Video to your Event Page

The Goal: Embed a YouTube or Vimeo video on your event page so attendees can watch it directly from the event listing.

Before You Begin:

  • You need permission to edit events.
  • Have the full URL of the video you want to display ready. GrowthZone only supports full YouTube or Vimeo video links at this time — YouTube Shorts type videos will not work.
  • The video must already be hosted somewhere (YouTube or Vimeo); you are simply “pointing to” the video to embed it, not uploading it.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Events & Learning, Events section, click All Events, then open the event you want to edit.
  2. Copy the URL of the video you want to display from wherever it is being hosted: you are simply “pointing to” the video in order to embed it, you are not uploading it.

  3. In the Videos section click the plus icon to add a video.

  4. Paste the URL to the location of your video. NOTE: GrowthZone only supports full YouTube or Vimeo video links at this time. YouTube Shorts type videos will not work. 

  5. Once you paste the URL, the Name and Description fields will appear. These are optional to complete.

  6. Click Done.

Common Pitfalls

  • Using an unsupported link: Only full YouTube or Vimeo video links work — YouTube Shorts will not embed. Copying and pasting the URL is not a requirement; if you know the address you can simply type it in.
