The Goal: Run the Membership Change Report to see and analyze membership type changes and fee changes over a period you choose.
Before You Begin:
- You need permission to run reports.
- Decide what you are looking for before you set the filters. For example, to measure a campaign that moved members to a higher level, filter on Membership Activation Type and an Activation Start Date range. Add Sales Contact if you also want to see who was responsible for each change.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Reports, click All Reports and open the Membership Change Report.
- Set your filtering criteria.
- Click the Run Report button.
The filters you can use
- Sales Contact
- Membership Activation Type — New, Renewal, Upgrade, Downgrade, Reactivate or Adjustment
- Membership Type
- Membership Category
- Chapter
- Activation Start Date — the date range the change happened in
- Previous Membership Type
You can tick more than one value in Membership Activation Type, so a single run can cover upgrades and downgrades together.
Common report functions
- Export Reports
- Email Reports
- Add Report Contacts to a List/Committee
- Mailing Labels
- Save a Report as a New Report
- Add a report as a Favorite Report
- Report Filtering Options
Common Pitfalls
- Leaving the date range on its default: Activation Start Date opens on the current month. Set it to the period you actually want, or a campaign that ran earlier will return nothing.
- Filtering on the wrong type field: Membership Type is the type the member is on now; Previous Membership Type is the one they came from. Use Previous Membership Type when you want to see who left a particular type.
