The Goal: Exclude a specific fee item from Price % adjustments so a non-negotiable fee (such as a State or National Fee) is not changed when you apply a Price Change %.
Before You Begin:
- You need permission to manage membership types and their pricing.
- Know which membership type and which fee item you want to exclude from the Price Change %.
- Remember: when you select Exclude from Price Change % for a fee item in the Billing Options, the Price Change % will NOT be applied to that fee item.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Memberships, Settings section, click Membership Types.
For the desired membership, click the Pricing hyper-link.
For the desired fee item, click the Billing Options link.
- Select Exclude from Price Change % for the fee item.
- Click Done.
Common Pitfalls
- Forgetting to flag the fee: If you do not select Exclude from Price Change % on the fee item, the Price Change % will be applied to it along with the rest of the base price. Set the exclusion before running any price adjustment.
