Step-by-Step Instructions
One of the parameters you can configure for your membership types is Add to List. By defining the list to which you wish your members to be assigned, each time a membership is activated—whether by completing the online application or by adding a membership from the back office—the new member will be added to the selected list.
- Go to Memberships, Settings section, click Membership Types.
- Select the membership type you want to configure.

In the Add to List parameter, select the list to which new members of this type should automatically be added.
Selecting a list for new members to automatically join. - Click Save to finalize your changes. From this point forward, each activated membership of this type adds the member to the selected list/committee roster.
Common Pitfalls
- List not created first: The Add to List parameter can only point to a list that already exists. Create the list before editing the membership type, or it won't appear as an option.
- Existing members aren't backfilled: This setting only adds members when a membership is activated. Members who joined before you configured Add to List are not added retroactively.
