The Goal: Reassign all contacts from one staff person to another using the Reassign Staff option, available from the Staff Users page under Settings, Staff & User Access section.
Before You Begin:
- You need access to the Staff & User Access settings to reassign staff.
- Know which staff member is the Current Staff Person and which staff member is the New Staff Person who should receive the contacts.
- NOTE: This does not currently change assignments on Projects or Sales Funnel opportunities; it only applies to the Assigned Staff field that displays on the contact’s profile.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to Settings, Staff & User Access section, click Staff Users. A list of all of your staff users will be displayed.
Click the arrow next to the Add button and select Reassign Staff.
In the Reassign Staff User Contacts window, select the following:
- Select the Current Staff Person. This is the staff member who is currently assigned to the contacts.
- Select the New Staff Person. This is the staff member to whom you wish to assign the contacts.
- Select the desired Relationship Type.
- Click Done. The system will reassign any contacts to the new staff person selected.
Common Pitfalls
- Expecting Projects and Sales Funnel reassignment: Reassign Staff only updates the Assigned Staff field on the contact’s profile. It does not reassign Projects or Sales Funnel opportunities — update those separately.
