The Goal: De-activate a product in your Store so it is removed from active use while preserving all of its historical information.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff permissions to manage Store products.
- To maintain all historical information about a product, best practice is to de-activate the product, and NOT delete the product.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Revenue, Store section, click Products.
Click the hyper-link for the product you wish to remove.
- De-select the Is Active check-box.
- Click Done to finalize your changes.
Common Pitfalls
- Deleting instead of de-activating: Deleting a product removes its historical data. To keep all historical information, de-activate the product by de-selecting Is Active rather than deleting it.
