The Goal: Activate a real estate agent in SentriLock so their lockbox access record is created and automatically synced to the SentriLock system.
Before You Begin:
- Your SentriLock integration must already be configured (Real Estate Edition). Lockbox connection options are managed at Settings, Real Estate Edition section, on the Lockbox Settings page.
- Know how your integration was set up: whether you elected to use the agent's M1 ID or MLS ID for the User Name and External ID, since those fields may be read-only.
- Have the agent's SentriLock details ready (card status, member type, and M1 Office ID, if applicable).
Step-by-Step Instructions
- On the desired agent's record, click the Real Estate tab.
- Click the
icon in the LockBox - SentriLock section.
- Click Sync with LockBox.
- Enter the LockBox Information (an asterisk denotes a required field):
- Status*: Select Active from the list.
- Card Status*: Select the agent's card status. Status controls whether or not the agent has access within the SentriLock system.
- Member Type: Select the agent's member type.
- User Name*: Enter this agent's user name to be used for access to the SentriLock software. NOTE: If, during initial setup of your SentriLock integration, you elected to use the M1 ID or MLS ID this will be noted in the field and the field will be read only.
- Password: This field is not required. You can enter a temporary password for your agent OR if this field is left empty, SentriLock will automatically generate a password for the agent.
- External ID: Enter the SentriLock ID for this agent OR if, during initial setup, you have elected to use the agent's MLS ID or M1 ID this will be indicated, and the field will be read only.
- M1 Office ID: Enter the M1 office ID for this agent OR if, during initial setup, the agent's M1 Office ID or MLS Office ID was elected this will be indicated, and the field will be read only.
- Click Done. The record will be automatically sent to SentriLock with no further interaction needed. All data described in Data Sent to SentriLock for Agents will be sent.
Common Pitfalls
- Overwriting read-only ID fields: If your integration was set up to use the agent's M1 ID or MLS ID, the User Name and External ID fields are read-only — don't expect to type into them. Confirm how your SentriLock integration was configured before activating the agent.
