The Goal: Create and configure a Sales Disposition so you can track the “temperature” of a contact and use it to build queries and reports that derive the probability of a win.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff permissions to access Sales Funnel settings.
- Have a name (and optional description) ready for each disposition you plan to add.
Step-by-Step Instructions
The Sales Disposition field provides a way to track the “temperature” or “disposition” of a contact. Populating this field can be used to create queries/reports to derive the actual probability of a win.
- Go to Contacts, Sales Funnel section, click Settings.
- Select Sales Dispositions. A list of all Sales Dispositions you have configured for your system will be displayed.
- Click the Add button.
- Enter a Name for the new disposition.
- (Optional) Enter a Description for the new disposition.
- Click Done.
| NOTE: Sales Dispositions may also be added “on the fly” when creating a sales opportunity. |
Common Pitfalls
- Skipping the Name field: A disposition cannot be saved without a name. Enter a clear, descriptive name so it is easy to select when working a sales opportunity.
