The Goal: Change the time zone (and adjust the date, hours, and start/end times) for an event so the displayed times match the intended location.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff access to edit events.
- By default, when adding an event, the times defined will be in the time zone configured for your organization. Use these steps when an event needs a different time zone than your organization default.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Events & Learning, Events section, click All Events, then open the event you want to update.
On the Overview tab, click the pencil icon
in the Hours section.
In the Edit Event Hours window, select the desired Timezone from the list.
- Click Done.
Common Pitfalls
- Forgetting the time zone before publishing: If you change the time zone after attendees have registered, displayed start and end times will shift. Confirm the correct Timezone in the Edit Event Hours window before promoting the event.
