The Goal: Update shared details — such as location, descriptions, and contact information — across every event in a recurring series at once.
Before You Begin:
- You need staff access to manage events under Events & Learning, Events section.
- Have a recurring event series open so you can reach the Overview tab of any event in that series.
- To edit the recurrence settings, confirm there are no registrations or sponsors attached to any future events in the series. You can only extend the date out, not move it back — unless you change the frequency.
Step-by-Step Instructions
On the Overview tab for any of the events in the series, click the click here link in the grey box.
In the Edit Event Series dialog box, update information as needed. NOTE: If there are no registrations or sponsors attached to any future events within the series then you may edit the recurrence settings. When making a change, you are only able to extend the date out, not move it back — unless you change the frequency.
- Click Done.
Common Pitfalls
- Trying to move the series start date earlier: You can only extend a recurring series’ date out, not move it back — unless you change the frequency. Plan date changes accordingly.
- Recurrence settings locked: If any future event in the series has registrations or sponsors attached, the recurrence settings cannot be edited. Remove or resolve those before editing the series schedule.
