The Goal: Remove a comment from an Info Hub forum topic, either as the comment’s original author or as the forum moderator.
Before You Begin:
- Only the original author of a comment, and the moderator of a forum, may delete comments.
- You access the forum from the Info Hub. Staff who manage forum behavior can find forum configuration under Settings, Advanced Settings section, Forum.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Click the title of the topic to view the topic and previous comments.
Click the trash can icon
for the comment you wish to delete.
You will get a pop-up window asking, “Are you sure you want to delete this content?” Click OK to delete the comment.
Common Pitfalls
- Trying to delete someone else’s comment: If you are neither the comment’s original author nor the forum moderator, the trash can icon will not be available. Confirm your role before attempting to delete.
