The Goal: Understand how COE Continuing Education records flow from realtor.org through the M1 POE sub queue into GrowthZone, and which course records are created during sub queue processing.
Before You Begin:
- This applies to associations using the Real Estate Edition with the M1 integration enabled.
- M1 integration settings are configured under Settings, Real Estate Edition section, on the M1 Settings page.
- Members must belong to a local, state, or ISC association whose POE sub queue is being processed.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Education records are published to the POE sub queue of the member's primary and secondary local and state associations, as well as any ISCs they belong to. When a member takes the COE course online at realtor.org, realtor.org adds that Education record to M1, which is then published to the appropriate POE sub queue.
- During sub-queue processing, GrowthZone evaluates Education records with Group Code BPP. These records are updated in GrowthZone only when the course code is one of the following:
- COEN (COE Continuing Education course for a new member)
- COEC (COE Continuing Education course)
- Via the sub queue, GrowthZone receives an add record for each COEC, and a new record is created. Updates to existing records are not performed.
The following data is added to the GrowthZone database for each processed record:
FIELD NAME COURSE CODE COURSE COMPLETION DATE COURSE NUMBER COURSE YEAR
Common Pitfalls
- Expecting existing records to update: Sub queue processing only creates new records for COEC/COEN course codes — it does not update Education records that already exist in GrowthZone. If a record looks outdated, confirm whether a new add record was actually published to the POE sub queue.
