What this does: Removes every stored payment profile on one payment gateway at once, using the Remove Saved Payment Profiles mass update.
Applies to: GrowthZone staff with access to Finance.
Before you start: Know which payment gateway the profiles are on. This can’t be undone, and it cancels every automatic payment tied to those cards. Turning off Allow Stored Payment Profiles on a gateway only stops new profiles; it doesn’t remove existing ones.
Time needed: About 5 minutes.
Remove all profiles on a gateway
- Click Finance in the left-hand rail.
- In the Administrative section, click Mass Updates.
- Click Remove Saved Payment Profiles.
- Select the desired Payment Gateway from the drop-down list.
Click the Reload button. A list of the first 500 contacts with a stored payment profile is displayed, with the Total Count below it.
Click the Remove All button.
- In the Remove All Saved Payment Profiles window, type Yes to confirm.
Click Remove All (or click Cancel if you do not wish to proceed).
- Wait for the process to finish. If you have a large number of profiles this can take some time; a blue confirmation box appears in the upper right of the screen when it is complete.
- Refresh the screen and click Reload again to verify the profiles were removed. If you had more than 500, the next 500 are displayed. Repeat steps 6–9 until the list is empty.
Common pitfalls
- Stopping after the first 500: Only 500 profiles are listed and removed per pass. Reload and repeat until the list shows none to display.
- Turning off the gateway setting instead: Disabling Allow Stored Payment Profiles only stops new profiles from being saved; existing profiles stay on file until you remove them here.
