The Goal: Create an event registration fee that only members of one or more specific membership types are allowed to purchase.
Before You Begin:
- You need permission to create and manage events and their registration fees.
- Have the event created and know which membership type(s) should be allowed to purchase this registration.
- Be familiar with creating a registration fee — see Add a Simple Paid Registration Fee.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Events & Learning, Events section, click All Events, and open the event you want to work with.
- Create your event registration fee as described in Add a Simple Paid Registration Fee.

To restrict who may purchase the registration, select the desired membership type(s) from the Limit to Memberships list.
- Click Save to finalize the registration fee. Only members of the selected membership type(s) will be able to purchase it.
Common Pitfalls
- Leaving Limit to Memberships empty: If you do not select any membership type, the registration fee is available to everyone. Be sure to select each membership type that should have access.
