The Goal: Map each GrowthZone payment gateway to a QuickBooks Online payment method so you can track a payment’s origin in QuickBooks.
Before You Begin:
- You must have a connected QuickBooks Online integration enabled in your GrowthZone account.
- You need permission to manage integration settings.
- Payments made through a payment gateway (e.g., GZ Pay, Authorize.Net) will be matched to the QuickBooks payment method mapped to that gateway. All other payments will be matched to the QuickBooks payment method mapped to the payment type.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Settings, Integrations section, click QuickBooks Online.
- Click Payment Gateways.
Match each payment gateway in GrowthZone to a payment method in QuickBooks.
- Done — your gateways are now mapped to the matching QuickBooks payment methods.
Common Pitfalls
- Unmapped gateway: If a gateway is left unmapped, payments through it fall back to the payment method mapped to the payment type instead of reflecting the true gateway origin. Map every active gateway to avoid mis-tracked payment sources in QuickBooks.
