The Goal: Map your GrowthZone discounts to QuickBooks Online so that synced invoices carry their discounts across correctly.
Before You Begin:
- You have an active QuickBooks Online (QBO) integration connected to your GrowthZone database.
- You have permission to manage integration settings and billing settings.
- Keep in mind that discounts in GrowthZone work differently than discounts in QuickBooks — synced invoices with discounts will appear in QuickBooks with a negative line item for each discount.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a discount product/service in QuickBooks. Use Intuit’s QuickBooks Support for questions on how to create a discount.
- Create Discount Types and Discounts in GrowthZone. See Working with Discounts for more information.
- Go to Settings, Integrations section, and open your QuickBooks Online integration to complete the discount mapping.
- Click Save to finalize your mapping.
Common Pitfalls
- Skipping the QuickBooks discount item: If you do not first create a discount product/service in QuickBooks, there is nothing to map to and discounts will not sync correctly. Create the QuickBooks discount item before completing the mapping in GrowthZone.
