The Symptom: Your Zoom integration with GrowthZone is not sending confirmation emails. Meetings created through the integration do not receive GZ event registrations or send out notifications.
The Root Cause: This sometimes happens if the default settings in your Zoom account change. Typically, the PMI (Personal Meeting ID) setting is the culprit. The default meeting settings for the account used in the Zoom integration with GZ should not be set to use Personal Meeting ID when scheduling a meeting.
When this setting is enabled, your meetings are created set to not require Registration, and so will not receive GZ event registrations or send out notifications.
The Fix
If this is the case, there are three actions in Zoom you can select to perform:
- Leave the PMI setting enabled, and then manually update each GZ/Zoom meeting after it has been created to set the Registration as Required; OR
- Change the PMI setting to disabled; OR
- Create a different account to use with the GZ Integration and set the default PMI setting as disabled.
Verification: How to know it worked Create a test meeting through the Zoom integration (managed from Settings, Integrations section, under Zoom) and confirm the new meeting requires Registration. Register a test attendee through GrowthZone and verify the confirmation email is sent.
