The Goal: Configure a membership type so that a specific project template is automatically applied whenever a new member joins, saving staff from manually applying a project to each new member.
Before You Begin:
- You need permission to add or edit membership types.
- Have the project template you want to apply already created. You can manage templates from Home, My workspace section, click Project Settings.
- Decide which membership type should trigger the project, so the template is applied to the right new members.
Step-by-Step Instructions
When configuring your membership types, you are able to have a specific project template automatically applied when a member joins through the membership application, or when a membership is added through the back office.
- Add a new membership type or edit an existing one. For full details on creating a type, see Add a New Membership Type.
- On the membership type, locate the project template setting and select the project template you want to apply automatically.
- Click Save to finalize your changes.
Common Pitfalls
- No template attached: If you forget to select a project template on the membership type, no project will be created when a member joins. Confirm the template is selected and saved on every type that should auto-create projects.
