The Symptom: After adding the LicenseNumber field to the Event Attendees Report, the same attendee appears on several rows, or the license number shown isn't the one on the contact's Real Estate tab.
The Root Cause: The LicenseNumber field on the Event Attendees Report pulls from the license entries on the contact's Professional tab, not from the Real Estate tab. A contact can have more than one license on the Professional tab, and the report adds one row for each license (and for each component, on events with continuing education components). An attendee with two licenses on an event with three components can show up six times. The Real Estate tab's license fields have different names, such as Individual NRDS/MLS License Number, Office NRDS/MLS License Number and Member State License.
The Fix
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Go to Reports, use the Quick Filter to select Events, and open the Event Attendees Report.
- In Display Options, open Fields to Display.
- Pick the license source you need. For the Real Estate tab's license, remove LicenseNumber and add the matching Real Estate field (for example, Member State License). For Professional tab licenses, keep LicenseNumber and expect one row per license.
- To keep one line per attendee while showing Professional tab licenses, use Summarize by (for example, by attendee name), or export the report and remove duplicate rows.
- Run the report.
Verification: How to know it worked Run the report for an attendee you know has more than one license. With LicenseNumber removed, they appear once per registration. With it added, you see one row per license, and the numbers match what's listed on that contact's Professional tab.
