Configure Visibility of E-mail Addresses when sending a Mass E-mail (Email Bulk Mode Threshold)
print icon

The E-mail Bulk Mode Threshold determines, when sending bulk e-mails, whether emails are sent using the To field, or the BCC field. Individual emails (i.e. no other email addresses will be displayed to the recipient and "Reply All" will not be available) will be sent to each person regardless of the threshold when:

  • There are merge fields included in the email; OR
  • A list/committee is the recipient; OR
  • System defined groups i.e. All active members etc.; OR
  • Communications are sent out of specific modules like Events (i.e. to event attendees).

To view and configure this setting:

  1. Click Setup in the left-hand navigation panel.
  2. Click Email Settings in the Communications section.

  3. Set the E-mail Bulk Mode Threshold. For example: if set to 30, when an email is sent to 30 or fewer recipients in the To field, all email addresses will be displayed and recipients will be able to "reply all". If the email is sent to 31 or more recipients, the email will automatically BCC every one, so recipients will not see others email addresses and will not be able to reply all.
  4. Click Save.
