The Goal: Add an Objective to an existing Category or Sub-category within an Objective Collection.
Before You Begin:
- At least one Objective Collection and at least one Objective Category (or Sub-category) must already exist within that Collection.
- Objectives are the skills/knowledge that are required. They can be "stand alone" or assigned to a Category.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Events & Learning, Continuing Education section, click Objectives.
- Click the name of the desired Collection.
- Click the plus icon in the Actions column of the Category or Sub-category to which you want to add the Objective.
- In the Add Objective dialog box, enter the appropriate information:
- Category Name: The category name will automatically be populated with the category to which you chose to add the Objective.
- Category Code: Will display the Code of the Category Name selected.
- Code: Similar in function to the Collection and Category Codes; used for organization and reporting.
- Name: Name of the Objective.
- Click Done.
Common Pitfalls
- Adding to the wrong Category: Confirm the Category Name field is pre-filled with the intended parent Category before clicking Done.
- No Category exists yet: If no Categories appear in the Collection, create one first. See Create an Objective Category.Changes applied:
