If using the Expo Module, you can set up and manage sessions for an event.
The first step in setting up sessions for an event is to define timeslots. Once timeslots have been created you will setup your sessions, and assign sessions to the timeslots.
Depending on your needs, a timeslot can be a whole day, or could be specific times within a day. For example, if you have an event where applicants can practice their interviews and you have three rooms (A, B, and C) to hold interviews, with three interviews happening every half hour between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, you would create 2 timeslots and three sessions per timeslot.
- Timeslot 1: 1:00pm to 1:30pm
- Session 1 (Room A)
- Session 2 (Room B)
- Session 3 (Room C)
- Timeslot 2: 1:30pm to 2:00pm
- Session 4 (Room A)
- Session 5 (Room B)
- Session 6 (Room C)
This article will cover the first step in getting this set up- creating the timeslots.
Set up Timeslots
- On the desired event, click the Sessions/Breakouts tab. (You may need to click the right arrow at the top of the screen to scroll the display.)
- Click the arrow next to the Add Session button and select Timeslots. This will open the Time Slots Management window.
- Click the plus icon to add your timeslots.
-
- Enter the Name of the timeslot. NOTE: This is not to be the name of a session, as you may assign multiple sessions to the same session. By default, the name of the timeslot is the date and time, but you can name each Timeslot however you like.
- Enter the Start Time of the timeslot/sessions. Click the calendar icon if needed; be sure to select the appropriate start time.
- Enter the End Time of the timeslot/sessions. Click the calendar icon if needed; be sure to select the appropriate end time.
- Click Done to save the timeslot.
- Repeat steps 2 - 7 to add additional timeslots.
- Review the Timeslots in the window.
- If everything is correct, click Close.
Next, we'll need to set up the sessions for each timeslot.
