Site Creation / Registration Process
To register a new website in GZCMS, execute the following steps:
- Login to GrowthZone Tenant one
- Select Admin from the left navigation sidebar
- Enter a tenant name you wish to create the site for into the search box
- Login to the tenant by clicking its name in the search results
- Once in the new tenant, navigate to ‘Setup’ from the left navbar.
- Once in the setup, click the ‘GrowthZone Pages’ link
- Click the ‘CMS Settings’ Tab
- Click ‘Add’ Button to add a new site (fille out form and click Done)
- On the new site created, Click the ‘Actions’ button and the plus sign to add a domain, fill out the form and click ‘Done’
- Select your new site from the Globe dropdown to begin the GZCMS site creation in WordPress.
- Fill out the information in the form presented, note that some fields are pre-populated. Once created, select ‘Add Site’
Note:
Fields with red asterisk next to them are required.
The email should be the email of the person creating the site.
Select a GrowthZone Theme if required, if not selected, the site will use the basic stock BeaverBuilder theme.
Site Login / Authentication Process
Since the wp-growthzone-registration plugin has dual purpose, site creation and site login, if a site already exists, the user will simply be logged into the site instead of going through the site creation process.
Page Templates
With this new process in place, we will be keeping track of the GrowthZone theme, which a project manager initially selected to build the site on. Having the GrowthZone theme that the site is based on, will allow us to present administrator users (editor users will not get this functionality based on PM request) with templates that are tied to a particular ‘GrowthZone Theme.’
To use the templates for a particular GrowthZone theme, simply go into the editor and select the templates tab and select the GrowthZone <theme> (where <theme> is the name of the theme the site uses:
Known Issues
- Templates do not show a thumbnail of actual template but are labelled accordingly (these are the same names before, which did not have thumbnails – it could be an enhancement in the future to create thumbnails)
