Changing the post URL format in GZCMS

WordPress offers you the ability to create a custom URL structure for your permalinks and posts. The default structure for all GZCMS sites is: 

 

 /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/  


For example: https://mindytest2.growthzonesites.com/2019/09/06/sample-post/ 

 

Some customers may wish to remove the date or include the primary category.  This can be done; however, it is important to note that it should not be done after a site is live as it may impact SEO.  To do so: 

  1. Login to the customer’s GZCMS site as an admin 

  1. Go to the Dashboard 

  1. Under Settings in the left navigation, select Permalinks 

  1. Select one of the Common Settings, or choose Custom Structure to select which tags should be included in the post URL
