Once you have created a new GZCMS test site, a default template page should already be created within the Dashboard > Pages area. Hover over the template and select “View” to open that page and copy the URL for use when setting up the modules.
The first step is to login to the ISCP (Integration Settings Control Panel) to tell the server to use your new template page. The login location path is “/integration/settings/” based on the subdomain, so you can simply add this extension to an existing subdomain and use your ChamberMaster login, or you can access the ISCP from the customer’s database if they do not have existing modules.
- Log into the customer’s ChamberMaster or MemberZone database and go to the Message Center tab of the Dashboard.
-
Under the Customer Service box, click View Website Integration Instructions
- This will open the Integration guide with links to their existing modules. Click the link near the top titled “Settings Page” which should end with “/integration/settings/”
- Login using your ChamberMaster username/password
- Once logged in, navigate to the Domains tab.
- Create a new context under Domains in the ISCP. It will be something like ‘xyz-gzcms.preview.gochambermaster.com’ where xyz is equal to the customer’s name (it doesn’t have to match anything in particular, it just needs to be unique). If a xyz.preview.gochambermaster.com domain already exists, it is probably safe to use that one going forward. Add the new domain into the list of domains toward the bottom and save. https://www.screencast.com/t/PMjDw0U1pA
- Once the new domain has been added, ensure it has the latest “Module Version” selected in the dropdown across from the new context.
- Exit the existing ISCP and navigate instead to the new domain’s version by adding “/integration/settings/” to the end, such as xyz-gzcms.preview.gochambermaster.com/integration/settings and login again
- Navigate to the “Module Templates” tab, and in the “Module Templates” – Default field, drop in the full URL to your CM/MZ Template and click save. You will next clear the module’s cache by clicking the ‘Clear all Template Cache’. https://www.screencast.com/t/UBVA3QG0 Your module pages should now resemble the template page placed in the default field.
- Select the “Appearance” tab.
- Fill in the fields as desired, matching the style of the elements on the page with those elements of the site. If there are any CSS overrides or rules that need to be inserted onto the CM/MZ-provided pages there is a Custom CSS field at the bottom of the page where you can place them. Be sure to select “Save” at the bottom of the corresponding section you’re in to save any changes you make to the style editor or Custom CSS field.
-
Check to see that your template is being applied to the CM/MZ-provided pages, by navigating to the /list/ (Member Directory).
- You may need to clear the server’s cache in order for the template to apply. You can do this by appending the “?clearcache=1” query string parameter at the end of the member directory url or by clicking the “Clear Template Cache” button on the left side of the ISCP
- For more advanced and unique features of the ISCP, please take a look at the ISCP Overview.
- The Module Links will appear on the right side of the Integration Guide page at “/integration/” and you can click to view, or copy the link to the desired module page for adding to the new website.
