This article applies to Home Builder Associations only. NAHB is the national organization for Home Builder Associations, similar to how NAR is the national organization for REALTOR® associations. The new API functionality will be similar to the Real Estate Edition's M1 integration, automating the uploading of data for Activations, Reactivations, and Drops, along with contact and company information changes, and company and member changes, and will replace the need for WMS exports.
Membership in Home Builder Associations is allowed for Builders, Affiliates, or Associates. Builders are considered "owner-only members," meaning only the business owner receives the benefits of membership. Employees of the business may apply for an Affiliate membership upon the sponsorship of a Builder member. REALTORS® may apply for an Associate membership without a sponsor recommendation. A Spike credit is awarded to Builder members who actively promote membership among Affiliates. Shown under the Membership area of a contact card in the field Who Invited You to Join.
Specific to NAHB, there several areas of GrowthZone that must have data in order for NAHB to process payments:
- MSN# - cannot be empty
- Builders Tab (on an Individual Contact Card) - must show the User ID
Global Membership Settings Specific to NAHB
- Renew If Expiration Month Equals Next Bill Month: Specific to those using NAHB. When the upcoming billing run is processed, the system will determine whether to generate a renewal invoice. If this setting is enabled, if the next bill date is the same month as the expiration date, it will identify a renewal and update the membership.
