In order to keep our data clean and the naming convention consistent between Happy Fox (HF) and HubSpot (HS) we would like to request that you do the following when setting up a new customer.
There have been instances where duplicate Organizational Contacts have been created in HappyFox with contacts getting added to one or the other and causing tickets to get confused. This document details what naming conventions we would like to use moving forward.

If they have the same name as another customer add their state behind their name: Association Name – State abbreviation
- Ex: Charles Chamber of Commerce – MN
- Ex: Charles Chamber of Commerce – WI

Do not add their tenant ID or ‘GZ’ to their name

If they have the same name as another customer add their state behind their name: Association Name – State abbreviation

If they have an acronym we would like to use the | instead of parentheses and the acronym should come at the end of their name
- Ex: ABC Empire State Chapter | ABCNYS

If you are working with a Monarch customer please do not create a second HF contact group. We would request that you update their existing contact group
- Update Association ID to their GZ tenant number
- Update software to GrowthZone

If they have an acronym we would like to use the | instead of parentheses and the acronym should come at the end of their name
Once HF contact record is created we request you update their name in HS to match and clean-up any existing contacts as you come across them.
