Before You Begin:
- This is available to GZ Staff only — you must have staff-level access to the tenant.
- Have a notepad-type document open to temporarily store the URLs you copy along the way.
- Your tenant must have the Community integration configured.
It isn’t always convenient or intuitive to navigate to the Community settings in the Integrations area of Settings. And always going to the Info Hub to log in or access a Community site seems like it takes a few too many clicks to get there. So let’s add a link to the Community pages to our tenant staff admin menu!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Go to Settings, Integrations section, click Community and copy the Domain Name (this is really just a URL to the Community site). You may want to paste it into a notepad-type document “just in case”.
Paste the domain URL into a new window; this should open the Community site on the default Home page.
Click the settings cog icon in the upper right corner to access the Community site settings; copy this URL (it usually appends /main/admin to the domain URL). You may want to paste it into a notepad-type document “just in case”.
Back in GrowthZone, in Settings, find the GrowthZone Staff Only Tools section and click the Account Menu URL link.
Click the blue plus icon, give the link a Name, and paste in the URL you copied from the Community site settings area.
- Click Save.
Now when you or your customers need to access their Community site, you can just click on your name in the upper right corner and find the link!
Common Pitfalls
- Pasting the wrong URL: Be sure the link you save is the admin/settings URL (the one ending in /main/admin), not the public Domain Name. Copying URLs into a notepad document as you go prevents mixing them up.
