The Goal: View, manage, and take action on a contact's full billing transaction history from their contact record.
Before You Begin:
- Navigate to the contact record for the individual whose transaction history you wish to review.
- By default, only the last 18 months of transactions are displayed for system performance. If you need to view older transactions, you will need to adjust the filter.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- On the contact record, select the Billing tab.
- Scroll to the Billing History section. From here you can accept cash, check, or credit card payments, create write-offs, and download or email invoices.
- To view transactions older than 18 months: Clear the Show last 18 months filter (set it to False), then click Customize Results to adjust the date range and display additional transactions.
Common Pitfalls
- Missing transactions: If you cannot find an expected transaction, the 18-month filter may be hiding it. Clear the Show last 18 months filter and click Customize Results to expand the date range.
- Wrong contact record: Confirm you are viewing the correct contact record — individual contacts and organization contacts each have their own separate transaction histories.
