Pulling Data RETS Connector
These are the steps the RE Integration Staff use for pulling data for Paragon, and Cotality.
-
To obtain RETS Credentials:
- For ICE(Paragon): email Gary (gary.gorman@ice.com) for the RETS server name, Username, Password, and URL.
- For Cotality: the credentials are provided by the customer
-
Creating the Task:
- Open Rets Connector, and start "New Task Wizard"
- Name the task. The task name is internal to your RETS Connector, and can be whatever style you prefer. You will have one taks for Agents, and one for Offices. An example would be Laramie – Agents, and Laramie – Offices.
- If the server has not been created, the click the "Edit Servers" button.
- Edit a Server you no longer need, and fill out the required fields below.
- Select OK. This will add that server as a server name dropdown.
- If the server has been created: Select the appropriate server from the dropdown, and hit next
- Select the All active(active agents) Or All Active(Active Offices)
-
- Then click test connection RETS version is at end of url
- Then create new task
-
- If it's a board (several diff associations on one server)
- Then click
- Select all under "Office Type"
- If part of board, also search "board" , click board ID, select the board we're pulling data for, i.e 6
- Download all available-> if there are any changes to fields, if we go to pull again it'll pull in the new fields
-
- Click next until done-> then run now-> then we get yellow success screen
-
Repeat for Agent file
-
-
- Use same naming convention (Agents instead of office)
- Then for the file name change "Date" to actual date esp if ever need to pull the data again for any reason-> helps conversion team (do for both agent and office)
-
- Then we will import the txt file data into excel-> import both on one excel- agent and office on separate tabs-> pay attention to board id(s)-> filter data based on board number and take note of how many records in data-> put in task notes and see if close to what customer said on kick off call (should also be in notes)
-
-
We also get agent and office types from vendor (don't need the abbreviation types) we'll attach this excel to our task
-
We'll send data to project manager- then sent to conversion team who puts it in staging- we then get the task back to see if it looks good on our end
-
MLS fields may be missing if not all info was brought in correctly
-
NRDS number should match MLS number and MLS ID should show in lockbox
-
If not the case-> probably duplicate contacts, data may need to be reimported in
- Some contact data not matching up correctly
